Ibadan North LG PDP Central Campaign Council Flags Off Campaign For Party Candidates

The political Bigwigs of Oyo state People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Ibadan North local government chapter on Thurday held a campaign rally for the presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, governor Seyi Makinde, the senatorial candidate, Engr. Joseph Tegbe, Federal House of Representatives candidate, Lanre Sarumi, and assembly candidates, Olufunke Comforter and Hon. Gabriel Babajide.

The campaign rally held and organised for PDP candidates in Ibadan North local government was organised by Central Campaign Council and coordinated by a two-term federal lawmaker, Hon. Dada Awoleye

Westeendailynews reports that the rally served as an avenue to canvass votes for other candidates of the party to ensure the party’s victory in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

As witnessed, PDP supporters and other residents within Ibadan North local government came out en masse to participate in the rally, leading to traffic gridlock within the environs.

Present at the rally were the federal house of the representative candidate, Hon. Sarumi Olanrewaju (Skiddo), state assembly candidates for Ibadan North constituency 1 and 2, Hon. Olufunke Comforter and Gabriel Babajide. Council local government chairman, Hon. Shuib Agba Egbe, former federal house of representatives lawmaker, Hon. Dada Awoleye.


Others were present lawmakers for constituency 1 who is also the Seyi Makinde re-election campaign director general, Hon. Folajimi Engr. Daniel Ajuwon, Baba Ismaila Ashipa, Hon. Seun Adelore, Waheed Gbede, Hon. Waheed Biiro

The rally, which started at the party house, Yemetu through Bodija, Agbowo, U.I, Samonda, and Sango, Mokola roundabout and had its final destination at the flag-off ground in yemetu.

The Central Campaign Council Coordinator for Ibadan North, Awoleye, said, “ Ibadan North is for PDP and will deliver it for Atiku, Makinde, Tegbe and other party’s candidates for 2023 general elections

Addressing the crowd, the governor Seyi Makinde’s re-election bid campaign Director General in Ibadan North local government, Hon. Oyekunle Folajimi expressed confidence in the victory of governor Seyi Makinde and other candidates of the party following the massive turnout of people for the rally in his local government.

Oyekunle said that governor Makinde has done his best, calling on the people of the state especially residents of Ibadan North in general, to vote for PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, governor Seyi Makinde for better governance.

He said the rally was to show the whole world that PDP in Oyo state has a good product in the person of Atiku, Seyi Makinde, and others.

In his remarks, Hon. Shuaib Oladayo Yussuf, the executive chairman of Ibadan North local government said the crowd witnessed in his local government is unprecedented.

Agba Egbe said the caliber of candidates presented by the PDP in Ibadan North and Oyo state, in general, is an indication that the party would deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

He assured the people that the party would not relent on its oars until victory was achieved.
