Oyo state deputy Governor Barrister Bayo Lawal has assured that the state government appreciates talent and will keep providing the needed support for sports and education, among other things, to put the state on the global page.
He stated this while hosting the 7 ft 11 inches Ibadan born tallest basketballer in Nigeria, Abiodun Adegoke.
The deputy governor while describing Adegoke as a special gift from God, urged him to concentrate on his professional career, keep developing his skills, pointing out that players like Christian Ronaldo, Leonel Messi, Usain Bolt, and other top sports personalities made their names with their uniqueness.
Abiodun Adegoke urged everyone to believe in their dreams and work hard towards achieving the dream.
His Manager, Mr. Luqman Rashad stated that Abiodun Adegoke is the tallest most active basketball player in the world with 7-11ft, adding that people all over the world, including the royal family in the United Arab Emirates and others, have been taking notice of his profile and love to identify with him.
