Former federal board member, Hon. Ishola Akeem Adeyoyese has eulogised
the life and political legacy of the Oyo APC leader, Sen. Teslim Folarin, says the Oyo APC 2023 governorship candidate is a dogged and determined fighter.
Adeyoyese joined friends, family and political associates of former Oyo Central senator, Oloye Kolawole Teslim Folarin to celebrate him on his 60th birthday.
Adetoyese in a statement in Ibadan said that Folarin had demonstrated democratic credentials over the years and ought to be celebrated. He extolled the sterling qualities of the Folarin, whom he described as “a distinguished politician and leader.”
“It could be recalled that it’s one record that Distinguished Senator Teslim Folarin was the brain behind the doctrine of necessity when Nigeria was in political turmoil and Nigeria and Nigerians would never forget the positive contributions of Sen Teslim Folarin in this regard, Adetoyese asserted.
Ex board member said, the former senator has made his mark and has his footprints in the sands of time in the development of Oyo State and Nigeria.
He said as a democrat, and progressive, Folarin’s doggedness, determination, resilience and commitment alongside other patriots made it possible for the entrenchment and deepening of democracy in Nigeria.
” For those who know Senator Tessi very well, we all know that he stands for justice and fairness for all. His presence in our political space in Oyo state is more than a blessing to us all.
“I make bold to say that our current crop of politicians especially in Oyo state have a lot to learn and gain from the Oloye Tessi.
“I pray that the Almighty Allah will continue to preserve his life, give him the wisdom and good health to continue his journey in life,” Adetoyese stated.
