Group Warns Folashade Abeo Over Claims To Be Iyaloja General, Threatens Legal Sanctions

A forum of youths in Oyo state, Oyo Indigene Forum has called on the self-acclaimed Iyaloja- General of Oyo state, Mrs Folashade Abeo Nurudeen to caution her insensitivity and cluelessness in becoming the Iyaloja-General of the state.
The reaction of the group followed the attitude displayed by Mrs Abeo on a news report on her involvement in sponsoring hoodlums’ against some Oyo Monarchs including the Oniroko Of Irokoland over the last weekend.
The monarchs who were at an Islamic wedding near a prayer ground at Agugu Area of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, were attacked by some hoodlums with sophisticated weapons and log of woods.
The traditional leaders, including the Oniroko of Irokoland, Oba Olasunkanmi Opeola were injured, as the hoodlums questioned their total support of Engr Seyi Makinde’s due process in electing the market leadership in the state.
The same due process which produced the Babaloja-General of Oyo State, Alhaji Y.K Abass, has not been given a nod, as Abeo Nurudeen was defeated in the election by seven clusters to two she managed to garnered.
In a statement signed by the secretary of Oyo Indigene Forum, Ambassador Yakub Jimoh, on behalf of the forum, said the association was aware that Mrs Folashade Abeo has refused to accept her fate from the conduct of the election that produced Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje since April which was monitored by the Ministry of Local Government then led by Alhaji Chief Bayo Lawal and Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment.
The Association, reminded Folashade Abeo Nurudeen that an investigation has revealed that Abeo is never in a relationship to a traditional seat of Oyo State, rather hailed from Lagos.
Ambassador Jimoh however cautioned Abeo Nurudeen to desist from employing services of a Deputy Governor’s Media Aide to mislead and by extension heat up the polity in the state.
The group called the attention of the Deputy Governor of Oyo State Barr. Bayo Lawal to deepen his investigation on his aide, who because of money wants to tarnish the image of the state, the camp of Governor Seyi Makinde, who every resident always credit for an all-inclusive governance.
“We are very much aware of the fact that our highly respected Deputy Governor, Chief Bayo Lawal is not aware of the silent practices of one of his aides against the generality of Oyo traders and the Governor and we trust his capacity, elderly wisdom, experiences and knowledge as a referred legal practitioner and cannot be fingered as supporting or sponsoring his aide to give media hype to Mrs. Folashade Abeo whose actions and practices is fiercely against the norm, especially for going against constituted authorities in the state.
“We want to call his attention to this barbaric act so he can act accordingly on these matters”
Ambassador Jimoh added that Folashade Abeo Nurudeen was confirmed as a liar, a deceit as she appeared at the Central Council Of Ibadan Indigenes House on Tuesday, while the Oniroko of Irokoland, Alhaji Olasunkanmi Opeola confirmed that he was beaten with other kings.
“Surprisingly, we also became more shocked that she challenged the Executive Governor of Oyo state and the Obas for supporting due process, that is uncalled for; we even also found out that she then proceeded to have a meeting with the elders of the CCII (Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes) in company of her Lawyer and followers, and also accused the publisher of Naijatodaynew.com of reporting a false story against her and threatened to sue the publisher and also report the matter to the Police”
“Thank God for the elders at the CCII who through their native intelligence, put a call through to one of the key Obas that was attacked, ONIROKO of Iroko land who confirmed all that Naijatodaynew.com reported in the news to be true and also recap all that happened the same way Naijatodaynew.com has reported ”
“she was thereafter asked by the President of CCII if election was conducted and she confirmed it that it was so and she lost in the election by scoring two votes against the winning candidate who polled 7 votes”
“In another twist, she also said she couldn’t emerge in the election alleging that the winner, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje was sponsored by the Oyo state government through cash support brought by the former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy matters, Chief Bayo Lawal, an argument which was faulted by the President of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) which eventually led to her lawyer’s advice that she should stop the unnecessary parade as being fit to become Iyaloja since all her position cannot be supported with verifiable evidences, but just mere guesses”
“Luckily, the so called supporters who followed Princess Abeo to the meeting with CCII elders, when obviously became fraustrated and disappointed because of how the meeting turned out, started making comment that confirmed they truly attacked the monarch, claiming they cannot continue to allow or watch any opposition to speak ill of Princess Abeo. They also claimed the governor should not get involved in the matter
“With your legal counsel, followers, and yourself before the CCII’s President, stating that you had informed the police to arrest the publisher of Naijatodaynew.com, threatened legal sanctions.
“For what? You want to stop a journalist from reporting the truth? Has anybody mentioned the oyo deputy governor’s media aide, that you employed and still working for you against the serving government; You are adding salt to an open wound!”, OIF said.
“We also want to intimate the general public that we have already instituted a legal move on these matters against Folashade Abeo and his media dogs in order to tame their negative activities which is targeted at disturbing the peace of this state”
Meanwhile, the governor of Oyo State, Engr. Dr. SIR Seyi Makinde has been implored to step into the market leadership, by coming out hard, calling for total investigation of Deputy Governor’s senior Media Aide, who owns a blog platform, against the effort of Engr Seyi Makinde. He is broadcasting illegality, despite he knew Abeo Nurudeen is an incredible candidate to the Iyaloja-General Office.
