The State Government has commenced the disbursement of loan support to beneficiaries of the Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery, (SAfER).
The State Investment &Public Private Partner Agency, (OYSIPA) made the symbolic presentation of the cheques to selected small and micro enterprises across the State, at a ceremony in Ibadan.
Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde and Chairman of the SAfER initiative, Hon SegunOgunwuyiclarified that the loan beneficiaries were properly screened by the State micro finance banks, while the loans were disbursed based on the business capabilities of the beneficiaries.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman, SAfER SME sub-committee, Professor MusibauBabatunde noted that the loan support will not only boost SMEs, but will also help achieve the sustainable development goals of the SeyiMakinde administration.
The Director-General, OYSIPA, Mr. OlatilewaFolami has in the meantime enjoined the beneficiaries to use the loansfor profitable businesses and ensure prompt repayment.
The small and micro enterprises loan support scheme under Oyo SAfER ranges from N50,000 to N200,000 thousand and N250,000 to a million naira.
