Dr Fola Akinosun has commiserated with the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on the death of his mother, Mrs Abigail Olatunbosun Makinde who passed away on Thursday this week.
Dr Akinosun commiserated with the governor and the entire Makinde family in a condolence message made available to newsmen.
Dr Akinosun, a foremost politician and philanthropist admonished governor Makinde to take solace in the fact mama Abigail lived a fulfilled life having achieved her purpose in life.
He prayed God to give the entire Makinde family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss and that all she left behind, including her legacies will continue to multiply to greatness.
Meanwhile, Dr Fola Akinosun has advocated the need for the Nigerian police to regain the trust and confidence of its personnel in the minds of the people to avoid the continued peaceful protest by Nigerian youths.
Dr Akinosun said the only way to achieve the rebuilding of public trust is to reform and restructure the entire force which he said should begin from the recruitment process, overhauling of police colleges, reorientation and purposeful leadership.
He advised government to promulgate an executive order banning all forms of police brutality and set up ministerial committee to look at police renumeration.
Dr Akinosun however commended the way and manner the Nigerian Police handled the protest and saluted the confidence of Nigerian youths whom he said had exhibited some levels of peace in their demands.
He condoled with the families of police officers, Nigerian youths and other civilians who had lost their lives in the process, praying that God will give them the fortitude to bear the loss
