In a short lecture delivered by a resources person to the drivers and transporters at the event, the Rector, Polytechnic Ibadan, Professor Kazeem Adebiyi identified various factors that could cause road carnages and appealed to drivers to be cautious and intentional to prevent errors that could cause road accidents.

In their goodwill messages, the representatives of the commissioner of police, FRSC sector commander, vehicle inspection commander, and park management system, PMS, warned drivers against speeding, and substances that could intoxicate them, urging them to take cognizance of road signs to reduce carnages on the roads.

They equally urged the PMS executives in the state to continue to engage their members on the need to drive with care.
