Egbé Àjosepò Fún Ìtésíwájú Gbogbo Wa Hails Tinubu On David Ige’s Appointment Into NNPC Board
Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ Fún Ìtẹsiwájú Gbogbo Wa, whose vision is Governorship Power Rotation in Oyo State, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of Dr.(Engr) David Oluseyi Ige as a Non-Executive Director to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) Board, representing the South West region.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by Professor Jacob Olaniyi Babayemi, Public Relations Officer of the association and made available to news men, the group described the appointment, which took effect from April 2nd, 2025, as a perfect fit, considering Dr. Ige’s background and contributions to the energy sector.
Egbé Àjosepò Fún Ìtésíwájú Gbogbo Wa praised President Tinubu for considering the Ilero-born technocrat and Oke-Ogun native for the prestigious position owned by the Southwest Geopolitical zone.
The association stated that this act of considering an Oke-Ogun man for the position demonstrates President Tinubu’s commitment to the principles of the Federal Character Commission.
The association assured the president that Dr(Engr) David Oluseyi Ige would utilize his knowledge and experience to bring about positive changes in the energy sector.

Dr. Ige has over 25 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Management Consulting, and Academics. His expertise includes exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas, as well as midstream infrastructure and downstream disposal of hydrocarbons.
He notably initiated and developed the Nigeria Gas Master Plan and policy.
Dr. (Engr) David Oluseyi Ige holds a First Class Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Cambridge University.

He has international work experience in the United Kingdom, Norway, USA, Angola, and Nigeria.
