Dignitaries In Attendance As Ibadan LG Chairmen Hold 8-Day Fidau Prayer For Late Olubadan

Today, Ibadan literally stood still, as dignitaries trooped in their numbers to ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan to honor the

8 Day Fidua Prayer for late Ibadan king, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji.

As it was earlier reported, the passing on of the foremost Ibadan Monarch, the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, on Sunday, 2nd of January 2022 and since been buried according to the Islamic.

Just as the Eleven local government chairmen in Ibadan held the burial rite of the late king last Sunday, the 8 Day Fidau was also organized by the chairmen.

Speaking with newsmen at the 8 day Fidua prayer in respect to the late monarch, organized by the eleven local government chairmen in Ibadan and council of chiefs, Hon. Sanda Sikiru, the chairman Egbeda local government and the oyo State ALGON chair’ said we have lost a father an enigma and if it was possible to buy death we would have done that to keep the late Olubadan with us, but it’s the will of God and all that’s expected from us being baba’s children is to give him a befitting last respect in which you can all see for yourself.

Also speaking was the chairman Ibadan north local government and also the public relations officer to oyo state ALGON, hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe), appreciated His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde for his Immense Contributions since the demise of the monarch and also emphasized on the selfless Contribution from his colleagues the chairmen of the eleven-local governments in Ibadan, who had also taken upon themselves to see that baba is given befitting burial.

Some dignitaries at the Fidau prayers include, the Osi of Olubdan, Sen. Adewolu Ladoja, the commissioner for local government and Chieftiancy affairs, Chief Bayo Lawal who represented the governor of Oyo state, Sen. Teslim Folarin, the Apc gubernatorial aspirant at the 2019 polls in Oyo state, Sen. Soji Akanbi, Former Commissioniner for health, Cheif Adedutan.

Others were, APC  Chieftian, Mogaji Tegbe, Chief Mrs Mutiat Ladoja, The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, The Aare Muslumi of Yoruba, Alhaji Dawud Akinola, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, Special Adviser to the governor on Security and all the 11 Local chairmen in ibadan.
