After days of political tussles in Oyo State, the suspended Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. Olamiju Akala, the son of Ogbomoso political statesman, Otunba Alao Akala got reinstated.
The letter of reinstatement, dated 1st March 2019, signed by Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Bimbo Kolade read:
“Following the conduct of and conclusion of investigation on the various issues loading to your recent suspension from office as well as the clarification of the grey areas on the associated matters, am I pleased to convey this approval of government of your reinstatement to office as Chairman Ogbomoso North Local Government” .
“The reinstatement takes effect from 4th March, 2019”.
It will be recalled Olamiju Akala got the sudden suspension few days he was seen publicly with campaign trail of African Democratic Party, a party where his father ( Alao Akala ) is contesting for the state governorship seat.
APC Oyo State unable to wait for Hon. Olamiju, the Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local official declaration for his decampment from APC to ADP before initiating his suspension.
The reinstatement is part of the negotiation Alao Akala made with the ruling party before rejoining the party he left November last year.
