Community Leaders Hail Olayanju’s Grassroots’ Initiatives in Olorunsogo LG, Express Joy Over Commissioning Of 5 New Boreholes*


In continuation of his commitment to boost development at the grassroots, the executive chairman, Olorunsogo local government area of Oyo state, Hon Qozeem Olayanju has commissioned five fully completed borehole projects across strategic locations within the council.
The benefiting communities include Ago Are, Igbeti; Araromi phase two, beside AI Gambari Mosque and Operation Burst Base, forest reserve, along Igbeti/Igboho road.

Others are Marble City College of Health, Ayetoro along Molare road, Igbeti and Okuta Opo road, Olosho villa.
At the commissioning and handing over ceremony held on Tuesday, Hon. Olayanju who since his inauguration as the executive chairman, executed people centred projects, empowerments and poverty alleviation programmes that have positively impacted groups, institutions, communities and individuals, said the boreholes were provided for communities’ access to safe and clean water.
Hon. Olayanju who is seeking re-election under the platform of the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM expressed joy that the projects will ease the burden of water scarcity, promote better hygiene and public health as well as enhance the overall well-being of residents.
While appreciating the executive governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde for his purposeful leadership and support for grassroot development, Hon Olayanju also extended his appreciation to a lithium processing company, “Renaissance Gray Resources Limited (Rengray)”, for partnering and demonstrating a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility through the initiative.

He said “Meaningful development is best achieved when government, private organizations, and communities work together toward a common goal. I encourage more corporate organizations to emulate this commendable gesture by investing in projects that directly improve the lives of the people.”
In their separate remarks, community leaders who could not hide their joy for the gesture, described the projects as timely and strategically located to meet the yearnings of residents in the benefitting communities
They commended Hon Olayanju for his commitment at ensuring rapid development in Olorunsogo and thank him for making sure benefitting communities enjoy dividend of democracy.
Meanwhile, Hon. Olayanju had last week inspected the ongoing extension of electricity to the Keso community, behind the council’s Secretariat,
He said “As part of our commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life of our people, I recently inspected the ongoing extension of electricity to the Keso community, behind the Secretariat.”
According to the chairman, the project will not only improve the living conditions of residents but support local businesses, enhance security, and create an enabling environment for economic growth.,
He said his administration remained committed to facilitating impactful projects that address the priority needs of communities in Olorunsogo and contribute meaningfully to their development.
