Atiba LG Chairman, Adetunji WABKEM Resumes Office As Ademola Kayode Emerges House Leader

 

The recently sworn-in elected chairman of Atiba local government, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji WABKEM on Tuesday resumed duty as the executive chairman of the council.

Adetunji WABKEM made his first official duty with the swearing of the elected councilors where Ademola Kayode emerged as the leader of the house.

As the executive council chairman Adetunji WABKEM and Ademola Kayode are expected to administer the Atiba local government administration for the next three years.

On his first day in office and during the inauguration of the local government legislative members WABKEM commended the support of the party leaders, stakeholders, and stalwarts, and assured all the residents of Atiba local government of productive achievement within 100 days in office.

The council chairman also acknowledged the belief and support given to him by the Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde is on his journey to become the elected chairman of the Atiba local government.

He thereafter praises, the foremost PDP leader in Oyo town, Alhaja Monsurat Sumonu for being there with her when he needed her most. “Her true support and guidance have been a source of inspiration to me and countless others. Her tireless advocacy for our community’s interests has earned her our deepest respect and admiration”.

WABKEM also extends his heartfelt gratitude to formal federal Lawmaker, Kamil Akinlabi, a state assembly member. Gbenga Oyekola, the Chairman and members of his campaign committee, and all PDP members who worked tirelessly to secure the election victory for him.

WABKEM while addressing the council staff promised a good working relationship with the main and Ad-hoc staff, he added that their cooperation and assistance will help in moving the council to greater heights. He urged them to be effective and effective in the discharge of their services, and always be mindful of the impact of their actions on the lives they represent.

” In truth, our governance and administration shall be discharged openly to the Atiba people. Employment opportunities for the youths, Agricultural rebirth, and digital economy. We will welcome constructive and positive criticism to better Atiba, committed to working towards Atiba’s height”. WABKEM said.

Meanwhile, the Inaugural sitting of the legislative arm which was precided by the council Director of Administration and General Service, Mr. Ademola Abodunrin returned Ademola Kayode as Leader of the House, following a motion moved by Kazeem Bello Kolawole representing Ward one (01), and seconded by Oluwasegun Gabriel, representing Ward (09) to appoint Hon. Ademola Kayode as the Leader and other principal officers respectively.

Other elected officers include, Deputy Leader,Hon. Okunlola Abiola Emmanuel, Majority Leader: Hon. Adewale Afeez Abiodun, Chief Whip, Hon. Musa and Kaosarat Oriyomi.
