APM Has Taken Root in Oyo, Ready for 2027 Victory — Reps Member Oyekunle

The member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), has declared that the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has firmly established itself as a formidable political force in Oyo State, describing the massive turnout recorded at the Ibadan North leg of the Thank You Tour of the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekambi, as a clear indication of the people’s readiness for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, which witnessed an impressive gathering of party faithful, supporters, and non-partisan residents, also featured the APM deputy governorship candidate, Engr. Open Salawu, alongside several political leaders and stakeholders across the state.

Among dignitaries present were the Chairman of the PDP/APM Alliance, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro; the Oyo State Chairman of the APM, Hon. Fagbemi Adegbenro Peters; the APM Oyo South Senatorial candidate, Hon. Stanley Dhikualihi Odidiomo; Ibadan North State Constituency candidates, Hon. Babajide Gabriel and Hon. Comforter Olufunke; Hon. Kazeem Adeyinka (Bibire); the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade (Onala), as well as party leaders and other stakeholders.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the event, Hon. Oyekunle said the overwhelming attendance reflected the growing confidence of the people in the APM and its vision for Oyo State.
“What we witnessed today is not an ordinary political gathering. It is a loud statement from the people that the APM has truly taken root in Oyo State, particularly in Ibadan North. The enthusiasm, commitment, and voluntary participation of thousands of people show that they believe in our vision and are ready to sustain good governance beyond 2027.”
The federal lawmaker noted that the confidence reposed in the party is driven by its commitment to people-oriented leadership and the visible impact of quality representation at every level.

“Despite spending only a short time in office, I have remained committed to ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every part of Ibadan North. Our representation has been inclusive, accessible, and people-focused because public office is about service, not privilege.”
Oyekunle further maintained that the achievements recorded by the present administration in Oyo State over the last seven years have laid a solid foundation that must be sustained through competent and experienced leadership.
“The remarkable progress recorded under the current administration has shown that purposeful leadership delivers results. That is why the people are determined to continue on this path of development. From the presidential candidate, who is the serving Governor of Oyo State, to our governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly candidates, we are individuals with proven records of performance and integrity.”
He expressed optimism that the APM would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections, stressing that the party’s growing acceptance across the state is a testament to the trust the people have placed in its candidates.
“The journey to 2027 has begun, and the signs are unmistakable. The people want continuity of good governance, effective representation, and responsible leadership. By the grace of God and with the support of the people, APM will record resounding victories across Oyo State.”
