The immediate past management team of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa (AOPE), led by the Acting Rector, Dr. Gbade Akinteye, has formally handed over the affairs of the institution to the new substantive management team headed by the Rector, Professor Jonathan Olusegun Adedokun.
The official handover took place during a general management meeting, marking the beginning of a new leadership phase for the institution. In his remarks, Dr. Akinteye expressed profound appreciation to the entire AOPE community for their unwavering support during his tenure. He noted that despite serving in an acting capacity, the outgoing management was able to record significant achievements. He encouraged the new management team to consolidate on the successes recorded and surpass them.
Dr. Akinteye also thanked the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the opportunity to serve and for the continuous support extended to the institution throughout his tenure.
Responding, Professor Jonathan Adedokun commended the outgoing management team for their dedication and service. He pledged that his administration would work towards uniting the institution, enhancing its public image, and driving positive transformation. He further emphasized his openness to innovative and transformative ideas from staff, students, and other stakeholders.
Other members of the management teams, including the Deputy Rector, Dr. Akin Oke, and the outgoing Acting Registrar, Mr. Dele Oladipo, also expressed their gratitude to the AOPE community for the cooperation and support they enjoyed while in office.
Following the meeting, both the outgoing and incoming management teams, alongside faculty deans and directors, paid a familiarisation visit to the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola (Ajobo Olurin I). During the visit, Dr. Akinteye thanked the monarch for his guidance and support, while Professor Adedokun equally expressed appreciation for the palace’s continued interest in the progress of the institution.
In his response, Oba Adegbola commended the outgoing management for handing over a strong and stable institution to the new leadership. He assured the new Rector of the palace’s readiness to offer necessary support and consultation whenever required.
The vote of thanks was delivered by the new Registrar, Mrs. Bosede Akintunde, who appreciated all participants for their presence and goodwill towards the institution.
