Adeojo Consoles With Family of Slain Farmer in Ido, Assures Justice

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has condoled with the family of Mutiu Oladosu, who was allegedly killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Aba-Asa village in Ward 9 of the council area.

Adeojo, who paid a condolence visit to the deceased’s family, including his wives and relatives, expressed deep sympathy over the tragic incident, describing it as unfortunate and condemnable. He assured the bereaved family that efforts were underway to ensure that those responsible for the killing are brought to justice.

The council chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to the safety of residents, stressing that acts of violence would not be tolerated in the local government.

According to him, security agencies have already taken steps to address the situation, noting that a suspect linked to the incident has been apprehended by the police.

The suspect, believed to be a herdsman, has reportedly been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further interrogation.

During the visit, the chairman pledged his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of residents and preventing a recurrence of such incidents. He further promised to provide support for the children left behind by the deceased.
