Wabkem/Olaide Commissions First Hybrid Solar Boreholes In Oyo
The executive chairman of Atiba local government area, Oyo, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji (WABKEM), has commissioned 6,000 liters of hybrid solar boreholes for the use of the communities within the local government.

The hybrid solar boreholes, which were erected at Ilaka iyemoja Ward 3 and Oke Ebo Ward 7 In Atiba local government, were opened for use by the state commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Hon. Barr Temilolu Ashamu Nurudeen.
The solar-powered system eliminates dependence on diesel generators and Nigeria’s often unstable power grid, allowing the boreholes to operate consistently with minimal maintenance costs.
The innovative project supports the Wabkem/Olaide local government’s mission to create a better life through technology while minimizing environmental impact.
According to the council chairman, WABKEM during the commissioning, he said the
initiative reflects his continued commitment to sustainable development, community empowerment, and improving basic living conditions for underserved populations.

” My administration is honored to support communities in Ward 3 and Ward 7 with a solution that addresses one of the fundamental needs: access to clean water.
” This initiative is part of Wabkem/Olaide’s broader commitment to good governance, sustainability, and enhancing the quality of life in the communities we serve”.

“We hope that this project will significantly improve daily living standards, reduce the risk of waterborne diseases, and provide these communities with a reliable source of clean water.

Among those present at the commissioning include, the Atiba local government House leader,
Hon Kayode Ademola, The council secretary, Hon Yemi Oyelami. Chief of Staff to the chairman Alh. Saheed Babalola.
Others include the local government assistant secretary, Hon Waliu Azeez. Supervisory Councilor for Works,, Hon Alh Muheeden Tijani and all special assistants to the local government chairman, Hon. Akin Alawode PDP State Excos, the local government party excos, and Ward executives were also present
The local government HLGA, Mr. Peter Oladeji, Director of Fiance Alhaja Fatimoh Olayiwola, DAGS Mr. Aboderin Demola, the council Information Officer, Mr. Ogunwale were present at the commissioning.
