Executive Chairman Olorunsogo LG, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju Orelope has rejoiced with the Muslims across the state and the council in particular on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
Hon. Olayanju in his congratulatory message released to journalists prayed that Almighty ALLAH will shower faithfuls with His blessing, protection, guidance and spare everyone to enable them witness more of the celebration in sound health.
The council chairman also used the occassion of the day to admonish members of the public to reflect the reason for the celebration in all their activities.
“Love should be shown to each other and always build the community together in love.
Olayanju, a one time lawmaker in the Oyo state house of assembly gave assurance that security agencies have stepped up security of lives and property during and after the celebration.
While advising motorists and motorcyclists, the chairman said “speed kills, don’t involve or embrace the act to save life and reduce any forms of accidents.
“drinking and driving or driving while drinking should be avoided, including any forms of immoralities, illegal acts, and drug abuse. All those actions will have an effect on the mental health of any individual who engaged in such he emphasized.
The LG Chair included that any type of irrational behavior that may cost the peace of the community must not be engaged in.
He advised residents of the council to celebrate the festive period moderately.
