Oyo Federal Constituency Now Has Competent State Assembly Lawmakers – Oyo Council Chair Aspirant, Santos, Congratulates Poto, Oyekola, Oparinde
Oyo West local government chairmanship aspirant, Barr. Adebiyi Aderemi Abayomi has sent a congratulatory message to newly sworn-in state assembly lawmakers from Oyo federal constituency.
Hon. Abdulrahman Olorunpoto representing Oyo East, you West state constituency, Hon. Gbenga Oyekola representing Atiba state constituency, and Hon. Deji Oparinde representing Afijio state constituency all from Oyo federal constituency were all sworn in yesterday with other elected lawmakers to constitute Oyo state 10th assembly.
Santos described Poto, Oyekola, and Oparinde as blessings to Oyo Federal Constituency, and explained that, their presence as lawmakers will add value to the system.
In a statement personally signed on Wednesday and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Santos noted that both Poto, Oyekola, and Oparinde will no doubt, make a good representation of the Constituency.
The local government chairman aspirant said the elected members will toe the path of pragmatic leadership style of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, in delivering good governance to the people
” There is no doubt that the PDP in Oyo federal constituency has never had it this good in a long time, and we can only thank God Almighty who gave us victory at the pole.
” Across the state constituencies, we can boast of having good representation across the board and this is attributable to the pragmatic leadership style of His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde and the efforts of our leaders in managing various political interests during the primaries have brought about the result we are all celebrating today.
” Both Hon. Poto and Hon Oyekola have shown leadership even before their inauguration by taking it upon themselves to renovate the former rent court building at Oke Ebo to a befitting standard to accommodate the Grade A customary court after a long period of abandonment, thereby preventing permanent relocation of the court to Iroko town which would have been a slap on us as a people.
” The laudable efforts of Prince Deji Oparinde in terms of human capital development in Afijio LGA even before his inauguration is also commendable.
” The above points to the fact that we have a team ready to swing into action and I have no doubt that they’ll do well for our people because this time around, we can boast that we have competent men representing Oyo Federal Constituency at the state house of Assembly.
” No doubt, our stolen mandate will be restored and we’ll replicate the representation at the Federal level.
” I wish them a successful stay in office and the same vein pledge my unflinching support’. Santos prayed.
