Breaking : Makinde’s Aide Resigns
Commissioner nominee, Lawal Ismaila Ayansiju has resigned his appointment as board member of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency under Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde.
Lawal resignation came two weeks after he was nominated for commissioner for works and transport vacant position, a seat left by prof. Rafeal Afonja.
Makinde had earlier forwarded Lawal’s name to Oyo state House of Assembly for screening and approval.
A copy of Lawal’s resignation letter as available with westerndailynews reads:
“Following my appointment as a Commissioner by His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, I hereby tender my resignation as a member of Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA), representing Oyo North Senatorial District with effect from 1St December, 2020.”
“Accordingly, I wish to express my profound gratitude to express my profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for the privilege he gave me to serve in his government and the people of Oyo State.
I earnestly pray for the overwhelming success of his administration as he forges ahead untiringly.”
