As part of the celebration of this year EId-el- Kabir, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan on Saturday hosted the governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, leaders of the party and other notable members at his Basorun residence.
It was a mind blowing moment when the governor stormed Olopoeyan Mansion to celebrate Eld-el- Kabir celebration with him. This gesture is not alien to many public affairs analysts who sees events tracking as a great tool to equip people with timely and relevant information.
Gov. Makinde who also celebrated last year in Olopoeyan house in is usual manner set aside protocols to celebrate with Chief Bisi Olopoeyan, a leader whom many assumed Makinde had used and dumped after his election victory.
Appreciating Makinde for celebrating Sallah with him, Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan appreciated Oyo state governor, described Makinde as a man of peace, religious tolerance and a man who values friendship.
” He always comes to my house to celebrate Ileya with me and my family, even before becoming a governor, he was here last year as governor Makinde. He is a man of accommodation, very tolerant, we’ve been together through thick and thin and we are still maintaining the relationship.
Olopoeyan in his philanthropic gesture had earlier bought Ankara fabric for over 200 people for this year Ileya celebration.
One of PDP party members who also attended the Ilaya party at Olopoeyan house was unable to hide her joy when he got the chance to dine and wine with governor Makinde. ” we knew our governor will visit great leader today to celebrate Ileya with him, so it going to be free and unofficial day for governor, it a moment of joy seeing our great leader and governor Makinde in front of us during the celebration.
Some of Olopoeyan loyalists who attended the party wholeheartedly appreciated their great leader gesture, admonished other politicians to emulate him in this random kindness of giving back to the society, as such is part of ways to bring the riches and poor in together, especially in politics.

Ibrahim Omo’Iya Eeja, PDP Women leaders in Ibadan North East and South East, Chief Imam Omituntun Central Mosque Imam Mojeed Lanase, Hon. Ademola Adelowo, Are Opeyemi Omotosho, Ibrahim Jinadu ( youth leader) Jerinyin ( youth leader ), Deji Ola and others.
Makinde and party chieftains Sallah homage to Olopoeyan house is an indication that the ruling party in Oyo state is enjoying unprecedented peace against rumours from critics.
