What Makinde, State Executive Council Members Discussed At Exco Meeting On Tuesday

The Oyo State Executive Council met on Tuesday, 5 December 2023 and decided as follows:

1. Approval for the award of contracts for the reconstruction of 12 roads with a total of 84.75 km in Ibadan. Lot 1 which consists of 10 road projects was awarded to Kopek Construction Ltd at the sum of N24.8B for a duration of 12 months. Lot 2 which consists of 2 road projects was awarded to Ratcon Construction Company for the sum of N1.88B with a duration of 6 months.

2. Approval of the implementation of the road infrastructure component of 32.2 km Section 1 of the East End Wing Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road Lots 1 and 2. Lot 1 is from the Lagos Ibadan Expressway to Jagun 15.5 km awarded to Craneburg Construction Company Ltd at a contract sum of N42.34B for a duration of 18 months. Lot 2 is from Jagun Village to Ibadan Ife Expressway 16.7 km awarded to Kopek Construction Ltd at a contract sum of N44.17B for a duration of 18 months.

3. Approval of the asphaltic rehabilitation of 5 road projects in Ibadan by the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA) at the sum of N553,604,734.03 with a duration of 3 months.

4. Approval for the payment of compensation to land owners affected by the acquisition of lands in Ajia, Inukan LCDA, Ona Ara LGA to the tune of N645,155,000.06.

5. Approval of N1 billion as a take-off grant for the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.

6. Approval for the Ministry of Finance to negotiate with the Afrexim Bank for a N150 billion infrastructure loan to continue with the Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road, Ibadan construction project.

7. Approval for the extension of Smart LED streetlights along New Garage-Akala Expressway-Kuola-Bembo-Conoil, Apata/Ibadan-Abeokuta Expressway for the sum of N333,871,919.88 for 4 weeks. Also, the supply and installation/retrofitting of Smart LED solar-powered streetlights along Agodi Gate-Adegbayi-Old Ife Road, Ibadan N673,721,527.05 to be handled by the Ministry of Energy.

8. Approval of the sum of N1,395,784,959.14 for the payment of the 2023 FGN-UBEC/Oyo SUBEB counterpart funding.

9. Approval of the following Bills to be transmitted to the Oyo State House of Assembly:

Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency Bill 2023
