Wasilat, Dotun Sanusi, U.I Don Sensitize Youth On Leadership Mantle During Agboworin Youth Summit
NIGERIAN youths have been advised not to only think of taking over the mantle of leadership in the country but should brace up towards building a viable and formidable structure.
Professor from University of Ibadan, Prof. Remi Ayede, Ibadan Business Mongol, Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi, made the charges on Monday, at the University of Ibadan Conference Hall, during a youth summit organized by the lawmaker representing Ibadan Northeast/Southeast Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin.
According to Prof. Aiyede, he said the time is ripe for youths to introduce fresh ideas to usher in, the real change the country is yearning for.
‘It is not enough to say that youths must take over, Nigerian youths must be in charge, do the talking as well as the acting”
” Just as leaders must move from
command and control to partnership for
performance, so too must those who are
being led to move from “waiting to be told,” to taking the initiative to lead themselves”. Prof. Ayede said.
While speaking, on the theme of the program, “Leadership Initiative for Tomorrow’s Leaders in Politics, Engr. Dotun”. He
called on youths in Oyo State and beyond to work towards becoming better leaders of tomorrow by emulating successful politicians, businessmen, women, and professionals who made it their youthful age.
While expressing optimism on the new set of leadership rising in the country’s political space, Dotun Sanusi urged all and sundry to work towards bequeathing a better Nigeria for the future generation.
Reacting, the convener, House Of Representatives Member representing Ibadan North East South East Federal constituency, Hon Abass Adigun Agboworin highlighted sincerity, funding, strong determination, and destiny as major factors necessary for anyone to climb the ladder of political leadership in Nigeria
