Vigilantes Released in Connection with Ido Farm Killing, Families Appreciate Makinde, Olubadan

Local vigilantes earlier arrested in connection with the killing of Alhaja Misitura Akanke at her farm in Oderemi village, Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, have been released after weeks in detention.
The deceased was reportedly murdered by suspected herdsmen, an incident that sparked concern among residents of the community and beyond.
Following their release, the wives of the vigilantes expressed deep appreciation to the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, retired Commissioner of Police Fatai Owoseni, the Nigeria Police Force, the Onido of Ido, Muritala Babalola, and the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, for their interventions in securing the release of their husbands.
They offered prayers for the leaders, asking for divine support for them in their time of need.
The released vigilantes also joined their families in appreciating the efforts of the authorities and stakeholders involved in the matter.
However, the families urged security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend those responsible for the killing of Akanke, stressing the need for justice and closure.
