The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Oyo State Command, has confirmed the death of four individuals and the injury of one person in a fatal accident that occurred around 8 a.m. today at the Soka area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Sector Commander, Mrs. Rosemary Alo, disclosed this in an interview with Radio Nigeria, stating that the lone survivor has been taken to a hospital for urgent medical attention.
According to Mrs. Alo, the accident involved seven vehicles, including two Nissan Micra taxi cabs, two trucks, a fuel tanker, and two Toyota Camry cars.
She further revealed that the deceased victims—one male and three females—have been deposited at the Adeoyo Ring Road Hospital morgue. However, Radio Nigeria gathered that the body of one of the deceased has already been released to the family for burial.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that all vehicles involved were heading from the Iwo Road axis of the Oyo State capital before the tragic incident occurred.

Emergency response teams are currently on-site, working to extricate those trapped in the wreckage and ensure that the injured receive proper care.
Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the accident as investigations are ongoing.
