Residents of communities in Oyo South Senatorial District, have commended Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) on his recent medical outreach and installation of solar streetlights.

Thousands of residents in Ibadan North-West LGA benefitted from a free medical outreach facilitated by Senator Alli to improve community healthcare access.

The exercise, held at the Primary Health Centre, Akintola Street, Queen Cinema area, brought essential medical services directly to underserved residents of the area.

It was sponsored by the Federal Government in partnership with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and facilitated by the Senator to support grassroots healthcare delivery.

The outreach included blood pressure checks, malaria tests and treatment, dental care, eye screening, distribution of drugs, and general medical consultations for residents.

In a statement on Friday, Senator Alli’s Media Office said the outreach aimed to reduce untreated health issues and promote wellness in the community.

Beneficiaries like Nurudeen Raji, Amida Hazmat and Hammed Alimi expressed deep gratitude, describing the outreach as impactful and commending Senator Alli’s people-oriented gesture.

They urged other political leaders to emulate Senator Alli’s commitment and bring similar developmental interventions to their respective constituencies.

The doctors called for increased investment in healthcare infrastructure and broader awareness of health insurance for better service delivery nationwide.

They lamented that less than five percent of Nigerians are enrolled in health insurance and urged more citizens to take advantage of available schemes.

Similarly, residents of Ido/Ibadan South-West and Ibadan North LGAs have applauded Senator Sharafadeen Alli for installing solar streetlights, enhancing security and night-time visibility in some of their communities especially Aba – Alamu/Bembo -Logudu – Olosun Community comprising about 32 zones and Olwo Kekere/Bashorun/New Bodija Community.

They said the projects have deterred criminal activities previously hidden by darkness.

This complements earlier installations in Ibarapa zone and the over 2,500 solar streetlights already provided across the nine local governments within the Oyo South Senatorial District.

Senator Alli pledged continued support for projects that improve the lives of his constituents and promised more collaborations to strengthen healthcare in Oyo South.
