Sàbigànná, Oba Soliu Azeez Commends Tinubu For Approving Reconstruction Of Iseyin-Okeho-Iganna Road, Seeks FG Presence In Iwajowa LG, Oke-Ogun Zone
• Hails Gov Makinde For Setting Record in the Zone
HRM, Oba Soliu Oyemonla Azeez, the Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom and Chairman, Traditional Council in Iwajowa Local Government, Area of Oyo State has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on approval granted to reconstruct Iseyin-Okeho-Iganna road.
Oba Agunloye 1V who equally appealed for federal presence in Iganna Kingdom. Iwajowa and Oke-Ogun as a whole, showed his appreciation while in an exclusive interaction with news men in his palace.
Oba Ayefemiloye1 disclosed that he and the entire members of the community were happy while the news of approval to the rehabilitation of Iseyin-Okeho-Iganna road was heard.
The monarch maintained that the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done great thing for Oke-Ogun zone with their readiness to fix the road that links the Geo-political zone together.
The Chairman, Traditional Council in Iwajowa LG noted that the Federal Government’s resolve to make the road motorable would unequivocally boost economic viability and at large develop the zone beyond imagination.
Oba Soliu Azeez enjoined Federal Government to link the road with the Republic of Benin, so as to make it a functional ECOWAS road, that would in no distant future resuscitate the Sugarcane Plantation at Glaswe in Benin Republic and at large strengthen mutual relationship between the two countries.
He however extended his heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Fatai Buhari of Oyo North Senatorial District, whose efforts were instrumental to award of the road.
He equally commended the Executive Governor of Oyo state,His Excellency Engr Oluseyi Makinde for setting the record as the first Governor to establish a University in oke ogun zone.
He called on members of the community to receive the site engineers with open hands, joy and happiness, so as to make them feel at home and have have total concentration on the task.
As Oliver twist would continue to request for more, the monarch appealed for federal presence that would birth the site of higher institutions, military barracks and many infrastructures in Iganna Kingdom, Iwajowa local government and Oke-Ogun zone as a whole.
In another vein, he expatiated the importance of ‘KING’ as the custodian of customs, traditions and norms in the land.
The monarch noted that the position is unique and whoever to ascend the throne must be anointed by God almighty.
He added that KING stands as an acronym, which signifies that who is to be referred as king must be someone with deep Knowledge, Intuitive Capacity, Noble background and Generosity.
He called on the government at all levels to improve on the welfare packages for the Traditional rulers….
The monarch harps on the need for the Government to adopt the Chinese educational system as recommended by the former Minister of Education,Late Professor Babs Fafunwa that, native languages should be adopted as language of teachings and instructions in schools .
In addition, History should be made a compulsory subject in our primary and secondary schools in the country as this will go a long way in restoring patriotism and strong allegiance back to the country, and would at large curb socio-economic sabotage and insecurity in the country.
