Oyo PDP Lawmaker, Oyekunle Donates N2.5m For Ibadan North PDP To Kick-Start Makinde Re-election Campaign
Erects Billboards For Governor Makinde
The lawmaker representing Ibadan North local government at Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle has given his party in his local government a sum up of Two million, Five hundred Thousand naira, floods billboards within the metropolis in the commencement of the state governor, Seyi Makinde’s re-election bid.
It could be recalled that the governor who is contesting for another term in office kicked off his re-election campaign early this month and has been going around the local governments in the state to seek support from the residents.
The governor campaign train is expected to storm Ibadan North local government next month, on February 17th.
Oyekunle who is also the Ibadan North local government campaign director general while donating said, it will be more beneficial for Oyo state people to return to governor Makinde elected, so he wants Ibadan North local government to set the pace.
“ Governor Makinde deserves to be re-elected, he had done more than expected, so it will be of our advantage if we make all effort to return him as governor, and in doing this,
My local government leads the way.
“ In the 2019 election our party, PDP in Ibadan North gathered 40,785 to defeat the ruling party, APC 18,868, now that we are the rolling party and fortunately for us, our governor
lives up to people’s expectations, nothing can stop us from recording double figures for 2019.
As governor Makinde’s campaign DG in my local government, my main assignment is to deliver for the governor and the party, so the money I donated is just a part of my efforts for the campaign, as time goes on, with the direction and support from our leaders in Ibadan North, we will make sure no stone will be left unturned for the victory of governor Makinde and other party candidates”.
