Oyo state People’s Democratic Party has congratulated the newly appointed local government Supervisory Councillors and Special Assistants.
Governor Makinde approved the appointment of a Supervisory Councillor and Special Assistant in each of the 351 Pollical wards in Oyo state.
According to statement issued to congratulate supervisory councillors and special assistants, Oyo PDP urged the new local government appointees to see their appointments as privilege with a mind to discharge their duty responsibility.
The Leadership of the PDP in Oyo State uses this medium to congratulate the newly appointed supervisory councillors and special assistants as approved by the leader of the Party and the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
The Party leadership salutes our leaders across all the 33 local government and 351 wards of the State for displaying uncommon level of unity, and harmony and working together to ensure that we nominate people with utmost integrity and character.
We also use this opportunity to charge the new appointees to be up and doing and understand that with every privilege, comes responsibility. All the new appointees must take their new positions as a rare privilege and not because they are better than anyone in their locality. They must also be willing to work together with their local government chairmen and other stakeholders to develop their local government areas.
It is also pertinent to remind all our chairmen that in line with the directive of the Governor, all the appointees should be sworn in with immediate effect.
