The Muslim Community in Oyo state took a significant step on Monday as they distributed palliatives generously donated by the three Senators in the state to Muslims in all 33 local government areas.

The distribution took place at the Bodija Central Mosque in Ibadan, where representatives from each LGA received the items for onward distribution to Muslims in their respective councils.

The palliatives, which included bags of rice, semovita, and other essential items, were contributed by Senator Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North), Senator Sharafadeen Alli (Oyo South), and Senator Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central).

Speaking on behalf of the Muslim Community of Oyo State, Alhaji Kunle Sanni, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing that the items would greatly assist beneficiaries in fasting with ease during the holy month.

He highlighted the economic challenges faced by many individuals even before Ramadan, underscoring the importance of providing support and relief to those in need.

Sanni urged the responsible parties involved in the distribution to carry out their duties diligently, ensuring that the palliatives reach the intended recipients without bias or discrimination.

Additionally, he commended the three Senators for their continuous support and generosity towards the Muslim community, acknowledging their efforts in making a positive impact during Ramadan.
