Oyo State Government has vowed to prosecute 3 men suspected of abusing a 9-year-old girl and injuring the private part of the victim in the process.
The State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Mrs. Toyin Balogun disclosed this during a live Television Current Affairs Programme, Kutuhai.
Mrs. Balogun stated that the community and environment should understand the child rights law of 2006.
She revealed that through the policy and political will of Governor Seyi Makinde over 300 thousand out-of-school children have left the street and returned to school.
The Commissioner urged parents, guardians, and relatives to report any case of child abuse to the ministry or law enforcement agencies.
