Oyekunle Gathers Aggrieved Party Members For Makinde’s Re-election In Ibadan North LG

Ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election, the director general Omituntun 2.0 and other party stakeholders in Ibadan North Local Government have initiated the process of reconciling aggrieved factions to position it for electoral victory, revealing that the warring factions have agreed to work with the party and all candidates for the March 11 gubernatorial and house of assembly.

PDP, the ruling party in Oyo state, having the governor and majorly the house of assembly members, observed that its platform “is the most trusted political party in the state with the capacity to continue the numerous benefits enjoyed by the electorates in the past four years”

The move was revealed at the end of one of the major reconciliation meetings held in Ibadan north constituency 1 of Ibadan north local government, recently to unite all the warring factions in the party’s hierarchy.

The reconciliation was attended by the director general of governor Seyi Makinde’s Omituntun 2.0, Re-election Campaign General, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), Dr. Mrs. Olufunke Comforter Olajide, Hon. Yomi Olajide (Royal Umbrella), Hon. Oderajo Olarenwaju, Hon. Egbende Akeem, Hon. Josiah among others.

At the reconciliation meeting, however, the leaders of PDP in Ibadan North Local Government agreed to resolve their internal crises and differences to position the party for victory in the 2023 gubernatorial election that comes on March 11.

The leaders observed that all differences in the party had been resolved in the interest of harmony and peace, revealing that, what’s important now is a victory for all members of the PDP from the local government and their state.

Specifically providing insight into progress recorded so far at the meeting, Hon. Foljimi Oyekunle (DON) pointed out that what’s significant now is ensuring and seeing to the emergence of governor Seyi Makinde and all other candidates come out victorious at the March 11 poll.

He explained that it was essential for the party leadership to reconcile aggrieved members and chieftains so that it could continue and re-strategize its campaign as a united party.

He said: “I am part of the struggle. I am also part of the ongoing reconciliation. That we have chosen to commence our internal reconciliation this way is commendable. I believe that the PDP will win the next gubernatorial election, considering the unprecedented achievements of his excellency engr. Seyi Makinde in the past four years.
