Ex-chieftain of People’s Democratic Party in Oyo state, Alhaji Adebisi Adeyemi Olopoeyan has felicitated with the Osun State Governor, Sen. Demola Adeleke as he marks his 63rd birthday on Saturday.
While wishing Adeleke God’s blessings in his continuous efforts to improve the lives of the people of his state, the Southwest leader of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), Olopoeyan in a goodwill message signed and released to pressmen described Governor Adeleke as a courageous man who is committed to promoting peace and upholding the unity of his state.
Olopoeyan who had earlier congratulated Adeleke on his Supreme Court victory days ago charged the celebrant to redouble his effort and commitment toward serving his people.
He said: “Life is the most invaluable gift from God and we should use our birthday to thank our creator and reflect on life, with humility.’’
Olopoeyan, who wished the governor “many more years and good health’’, advised him “not to rest on his oars because the task of fulfilling campaign promises is even greater than the campaign efforts.
“I urge you to make good governance your watchword because your good performance will be the yardstick by which your tenure will be judged for years to come. I wish you a happy birthday and more prosperous years ahead.
On behalf of my family, I congratulate you, gov. Ademola on your birthday anniversary. It is my prayer that Almighty Allah continues to grant you good health, more wisdom, and long life,” Olopoeyan said in a statement.
