The national leadership of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP)
has sworn in the newly elected chairperson of the party in Oyo State, Chief Mrs. Ayobamidele Idowu Adekunle
and other members of the State Executives (EXCO) who were also elected during the party’s state congress, held in Ibadan, on July 4, 2024.
The oath of office was administered, on behalf of the national chairman of the NNPP, Alhaji Abba Kawu Ali, by the zonal organizing secretary of the party, Hon. Abiodun Oyesola, on Thursday, at the party’s State Secretariat, Opposite Premier Hotel, Oremeji Mokola, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital
Performing the exercise, Oyesola, who congratulated members of the state executives of the party for emerging victorious at the state congress, informed them that “I am representing the national chairman here today, to administer the oath of office on you here present”.
Oyesola swore in the state party Chairperson, Ayobamidele Idowu Adekunle, his deputy, and all other members of the state executive.
Ayobamidele Idowu in his acceptance speech vowed to run an open door policy.
He said, “I will be the party Chairperson for everybody and all the three senatorial zones in Oyo State. I will use my office to uphold the aims and objectives of the party.
” My profound appreciation goes to NNPP members in the state and our amiable leader, Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan for his leadership role. If not for his alloyed support, we would not have been able to continue sustaining our political activities in the state.
Ayobamidele Idowu, urged the newly executives not to betray the conference and trust reposed on them.”
