Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has sealed an arrangement with Carboncor Road Technology Ltd, a private company, an action made to revive the moribund State-owned Quarry and Asphalt Plant, in order to generate income for the state and create jobs for residents.
As promised when visited the abandoned plant on July 3, 2019, Makinde said plans are already being made to revive the plant, so as to generate income for Oyo State and provide jobs for Oyo state people.
Yesterday evening, Makinde handover the Pacesetter Quarry and Asphalt Plant, to a private company, Carboncor Road Technology Ltd as concessionaires in a public-private partnership arrangement with the Oyo State Government.
Aside generate income for Oyo State and provide jobs for people. It will also complement government effort to provide a good road network across the state.
