LG Poll: Former House of Rep. Candidate, Okanlawon Charges Residents To Vote Massively For APC, Tasks OYSIEC To Conduct Credible Election

 

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and residents of Ibarapa Central and North Local Government Areas For been charged to participate in the local government elections which holds this weekend.

Former House of Representatives Candidate and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ibarapa Central, Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon gave the charge this morning while briefing newsmen in Ibadan.

Okanlawon who spoke through his media aide, Adedokun Sunday on Friday admonished the entire people of the local government areas to come out massively and vote candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Chairmanship and councillors.

The Chieftain said the local government is the closest level to the people and having progressive party men would help bring dividends of democracy closer to the people at the grassroots.

He urged the leadership and members of the APC to show commitment by monitoring their votes and should not allow the opportunists to manipulate in their usual styles.

Okanlawon also appealed to the electoral umpire, Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) to safeguard their integrity by conducting a free and fair election, and to position the State in its pacesetter position.
