Just In: Oyo NNPP Suspends Woman Leader, Acting Oyo North Senatorial Chairman
Oyo State New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP, has placed an indefinite suspension on its state Woman Leader, Mrs. Yemisi Atanda, and Alhaji Tajudeen Oloyede, Oyo North acting Senatorial Chairman for anti-party activities.
State Publicity Secretary of NNPP, Mr. Femi Olaitan Hero, who briefed newsmen in Ibadan after the state exco meeting on Friday morning, said: “The party had watched with keen interest, the subversive activities of the state Woman Leader, Yemisi Atanda, the Oyo North senatorial chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Oloyede and their behaviors, which constituted an embarrassment to the party and leaders in the party.”
Hero said that party-state Working Committee had decided that both Yemisi and Oloyede’s anti-party activities should not be swept under the carpet and had passed a vote of no confidence on them.
After the suspended Hero on behalf of the party announced Olaniran Aderike as acting state Women leader while Mr. Sunday Adeosun resumed fully as Oyo North senatorial leader
The party thereafter urged all leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the party in Oyo State to remain united and focused on the task ahead.
