Akeem Salawu of the Ilana Mekunu movement has called on citizens to embrace the true spirit of Christmas by promoting love, service, and collective responsibility toward one another.
In his Christmas message, Salawu described the season as a reminder that leadership is rooted in service rather than power, stressing the need to uplift lives, support the vulnerable, and create opportunities for those often overlooked in society.
He noted that Ilana Mekunu represents hope, courage, and dignity for every citizen, adding that the festive period should inspire renewed compassion, stronger communal bonds, and a shared commitment to building a society founded on fairness, justice, and equal opportunity.
“As families gather and communities unite, may this season renew our compassion and strengthen our resolve to serve humanity with integrity and purpose,” the message read.
