Security agencies operating within Ido Local Government Area have commended the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, for his unwavering support and cooperation in advancing peace and security across the council area.
The commendation was made during a security meeting held at the Executive Hall of Ido Local Government, where various security formations acknowledged the chairman’s continuous collaboration, which they described as a major boost to their operations.
Present at the meeting were the Operation Burst Commandant, Divisional Police Officers, Divisional Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), O.C. of the State Security Service (SSS), Division Officer of Immigration, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and representatives of the F.I.B.
Responding to the commendations, Hon. Adeojo expressed appreciation to the security agencies for their relentless efforts in maintaining law and order within the local government. He encouraged them to intensify surveillance and response operations ahead of the yuletide season. The chairman also welcomed newly posted officers, including the Operation Burst Commandant, Major Samson Ukpanzeme, and the Division Officer of Immigration, CSI O.A. Afolabi.
The Vice Chairman and Political Head of Omi Apata LCDA, Barr. Olayemi Oluwashina, also addressed the meeting, advising residents to avoid reckless driving and to promptly report suspicious activities. “If you see something, please say something,” he stressed.
Other key government officials in attendance included the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi; the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu; the Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs. T. L. Adeshina; as well as representatives of CAN and the Chief Imam.
