Ibadan North Chair, Agba Egbe Pays Tribute To Olubadan, Says Baba’s Death Was A Personal Loss

The Executive chairman of Ibadan north local government, Hon. Yussuf sahib oladayo has described the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji as a patriot and custodian of Yoruba values who gave his best while on the throne.

The late Olubadan of ibadanland passed on In the early hours of Sunday morning, Jan 2nd after ruling for 6 years.

Agba Egbe in his condolence message to the palace of the late monarch said the contributions of the late Olubadan to the political, social, and economic life of Ibadan and southwest, would remain indelible in the hearts and minds of those who interacted with him in politics and socio-economic life.

The council chairman said Oba Saliu left an indelible mark and epitomized the qualities of an eminent ruler, using his knowledge and skill to serve God, his people, in various capacities.

According to him, “Our revered Oba was a father to me and I can boldly say his death was a personal loss but my consolidation right now, his reign was positively impactful to my constituents “Ibadan North” and in general throughout his impactful years on the throne of his forefathers.

“Although Oba Saliu Adetunji passage is like a dream, especially as he left us at a crucial state in our state history when his wise counsel and rich experience are greatly needed. I would urge the executive governor, engr. seyi makinde,  my fathers, the chiefs of ibadanland, the entire ibadanland and all the members of his immediate and extended family to take solace in the worthy legacy and his mark on the history of what he left behind.”
