The Olubadan Palace has announced the passing of the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Olubunmi Isioye-Dada, who died peacefully on Friday after a brief illness.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, in which the palace expressed deep sorrow over the transition of the respected traditional ruler.

Following the demise of the monarch, the palace announced the postponement of the scheduled installation of Mogajis and Baales earlier fixed for Monday, June 15, 2026.
According to the statement, the ceremony has been rescheduled to hold on Monday, June 22, 2026, as the palace adjusts royal activities in honour of the late Osi Balogun.
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa 1), alongside members of the Olubadan-in-Council, commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, indigenes, and residents of Ibadanland over the loss.
Oba Ladoja described the death of Oba Isioye-Dada as a significant loss to the ancient city, noting his contributions and dedicated service as a valued member of the Olubadan-in-Council.

Until his death, Oba Olubunmi Isioye-Dada served Ibadanland with commitment as the Osi Balogun, playing a key role in the traditional council.
The palace prayed for the peaceful repose of the late monarch’s soul and offered condolences to all those affected by his passing.
