Hon. Sheriff Adeojo Flags Off Mass Road Rehabilitation Across Ido LG

The Executive Chairman of Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has commenced a large-scale road rehabilitation and grading exercise across all 10 wards of Ido Local Government Area, in a decisive move to improve infrastructure and living conditions for residents.
The initiative was officially flagged off on Tuesday at Balogun Toriola Community, Ward 4, marking the beginning of what the council described as a comprehensive intervention that will touch every ward in the local government.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Hon. Adeojo said the project is designed to enhance mobility, ease transportation challenges, and open up remote communities that have long suffered from poor road access. He stressed that improved road networks would also stimulate local economic activities, particularly farming, trading, and small-scale businesses, by enabling residents to move goods and services more efficiently.
“Our administration is committed to inclusive development. This road rehabilitation and grading exercise will be carried out across all wards to ensure that no community is left behind,” the council chairman assured, adding that the project aligns with his government’s broader agenda of grassroots development and service delivery.
Residents of Balogun Toriola Community welcomed the intervention with appreciation. The Chairman of the community, Alhaji Kamiludeen Moshood, expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Adeojo, describing the exercise as a long-awaited relief for the people.
According to him, poor road access had for years posed serious challenges to residents, especially farmers and traders who rely on functional roads to transport their produce. “This is a transformative gesture. Our dear brother and council boss, may Allah continue to guard and guide you,” Alhaji Moshood prayed.

The road rehabilitation and grading exercise is expected to continue in phases, with construction equipment and personnel moving from ward to ward until all identified roads across the local government are addressed. Residents have expressed optimism that the project will significantly improve daily life and strengthen economic activities within Ido Local Government Area.
