As Oyo state seems to be heading towards the good old days of free education regime of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, a lawmaker representing Ibadan North constituency II, Hon. Babajide Adebayo on Monday morning
in his own effort to returns education to the glorious days in the state distributed over 20,000 Notebooks and essential Reading materials to students and pupils of his constituency.
Having promised to support and ease the teaching and learning of students and pupils of his constituency before the election, in less than 5 months in office, the performing young lawmaker with his team storms his constituency, toured all schools for the distributions also discussed with teachers of the schools on how his office can further complement the efforts of the teachers to improved their teaching.
In his message, Hon. Jide said ”
The first step towards reducing the number of out of school children and to enable education is easily accessible to children across the state”
” our administration in the state is committed to quality education that would yield best academic performance hence the need for the teachers to work hard by preparing the students for excellent performance”.
Hon. Jide said that, his PDP administration would continue to find other ways to provide free and qualitative education to the people of the state from primary school to secondary
He said the distributed learning aida to pupils and students had gone round all the schools across his constituency.
The distribution of Hon. Babajide school materials passes cross all the primary and secondary schools within Ibadan North constituency 1, schools of benefited students and pupils include, St. Thomas Primary school 1,2 and 3, Olive Primary School 1&2, Abadina Primary School, Abadina College, United Secondary School, Immanuel College High School, St Louis Grammar Schools, New Eden Primary school, Oba Akinbiyibi high school, Methodist Primary School.
Hon. Jide hitting the ground running, asides singlehandedly sponsoring and co-sponsoring Bills for welfarism and economic favours of his constituency and Oyo citizens, the lawmaker also doubles his struggles, strives to fulfills his electioneering promises made to residence of his constituency.
