He Was A Responsible Monarch – Oyo PDP Guber Hopeful POJ Sympathizes With Ogbomoso Sons, Daughters
Engr Popoola Olukayode Joshua, gubernatorial hopeful of Peoples Democratic Party has condoled with sons and daughters of Ogbomoso land over the demised of Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi (Ajagungbade III).
“ It was heart breaking and devastating hearing that we have lost a nationalist, a man of honour and dignity who lived his life pleasing all and sundry irrespective of where you come from”.
The PDP gubernatorial hopeful described late Soun of Ogbomoso as a man of integrity that would go extra mile in fighting a just cause, “ he used his reign for uplifting of Ogbomoso sons and daughters. Late Oba Jimoh was genuinely real in nature, very determined to promote culture and social integration of his community. He was always quick to take responsibility in as much it will benefit his people, these unique characteristics made him always stand out”.
POJ in his condolence message affirmed that it is true that everyone will die one day as no man has ever lived forever, he used the period to admonish everyone to live as if tomorrow will not come, do good from time to time and live a life of positive impacts. He prayed that God Almighty would grant the royal families and people of Ogbomoso fortitude to bear the loss. It is painful to lose such a King who has worked very hard to boost the economy of Ogbomoso and its environs. However, nobody has power over death, and all shall leave one day like our royal father who has left to join his ancestors.
My thoughts and prayers are with the royal families, ruling royal family, and the entire people of Ogbomoso at this trying time. May God comfort the family and be with the ancient city of Ogbomoso he left behind, POJ said.
