As an Annual Custom, Saheed Akinade-Fijabi a two term Member of the Federal House of Representatives and the present candidate for Ibadan Southwest/Northwest Federal Constituency held his annual prayer session with Market women and his constituents, around Apata area in Ibadan.
The venue of the event which was saturated with loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) equally had a heavy representation of residents, market women, widows and youth all domiciled in Ibadan Southwest and Northwest local governments.
Speaking on behalf of The beneficiaries Alhaja Afusat Fatai, The Iyaloja of Apata and its neighboring markets said Fijabi has been consistently supportive of market women for more than 10years even before he won his first election.
“We are grateful for the consistency of this young Honorable, Saheed Akinade Fijabi who continues to make efforts to ease the burden of our mothers. We didn’t expect him to continue to reach out to us after 2019. But he has never forgotten us and we would not hesitate to pay him back at the elections in 2023”
Also speaking on behalf of party women, Alhaja Rashidat Busari, one of the local government excos of Ibadan Southwest Local Government said Hon Saheed Akinade Fijabi’s is one of the candidates that they are proud of. Attesting to his track records in the party and community”
Honourable Saheed Akinade-Fijabi while presenting the cash gifts told the women not to lose faith in God in the coming year, encouraging them to stay firm in Gods promises as they all continue to work towards the success of a better Nigeria.
He also consoled those who lost their belongings in the unfortunate fire incident that recently occurred in the environment, emphasizing that the necessary laws must be enacted and enforced to prevent the future occurrence of such an unfortunate incident.
Switching to campaign mode, Fijabi reminded the people to ensure they cast their votes for all the APC candidates from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed who is running for President, Senator Teslim Folarin for Governor, Oyo State, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli for Senate (Oyo South), Idris Ajimobi, Teslim Jimoh Basteen and Tolani Adigun for state House of Assemblies not also forgetting to support him ( hon Fijabi) for House of Representatives, Ibadan Southwest/Northwest Local government
