Hon. Adedapo Olamiposi Ojo, popularly known as Dapson Olubadan, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Ibadan North-East Constituency II seat, outlining a comprehensive agenda anchored on inclusive growth, accountability, and people-centred leadership.
In a statement addressed to residents of the constituency, Ojo said his aspiration is driven by a deep sense of responsibility and a commitment to deliver practical solutions to the challenges facing the people. He described his ambition as more than a political bid, noting that it represents a roadmap for sustainable development, transparent governance, and improved quality of life.
“My aspiration is to serve and represent the good people of Ibadan North-East Constituency II with integrity, dedication, and results-driven leadership,” he stated. “Our community deserves leadership that listens, acts, and delivers. Together, we can build a system that works for everyone.”
Ojo highlighted key areas of focus in his proposed legislative agenda, including infrastructure development, economic empowerment, security, and social welfare. He pledged to sponsor bills that would address critical infrastructure deficits such as road construction, water supply, and the upgrading of public schools across the constituency.
On economic development, the aspirant emphasized the need to stimulate grassroots economic activities through skills acquisition programmes and support for local enterprises, particularly targeting youths and women. He noted that empowering these groups would significantly reduce unemployment and boost economic productivity in the area.
Addressing security concerns, Ojo proposed legislative backing for community policing initiatives and strengthened local security frameworks to ensure the safety of lives and property. He also reaffirmed his commitment to promoting justice and fairness through responsive and people-oriented laws.
The aspirant further assured constituents of transparent and accountable governance, promising to maintain open communication channels and ensure that public resources are effectively managed for the benefit of all.
Ojo concluded by calling for unity and support from stakeholders and residents, stressing that collective effort is essential to achieving meaningful progress.
