Captured Kidnapers In Oke Ogun: Oyo Lawmakers Visit Scene, Donate Cash To Vigilante Groups

Two of Oyo state Assembly lawmakers from Oke Ogun, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju and Hon. Laeef Adebunmi have visited Sooro, Kishi Reserve Area of oke –Ogun, where police and members of Vigilante group captured herdsmen kidnapers,
The lawmakers, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju representing Irepo/Olorunsogo state constituency and Hon. Laeef Adebunmi representing Orelope state constituency in their separate reaction commended the security personnel for their outstanding performance.

Speaking with newsmen, Hon. Olayanju applauded the security men for capturing some of the kidnappers terriorising the area for a long time, implored them to add more effort in making the communities and Oke- Oogun area a free kidnapping zone.

“We need to keep up the high morale and maintain the momentum so that the local communities are free to go about their lives without fear of molestation form bandits”, Olayanju said.
Hon. Olayanju promised to move a motion for deliberation on provision for final solution to rid of armed banditry, terrorism, cattle rustling and kidnapping in Oke Ogun Area.
In his own reaction, Hon. Adebunmi commended the police and the Vigilante group for a well done job, he said Oyo 9th assembly members will not relent and will continue to roll out laws that will protect live and property of the people of Oke Oogun and the state

“Let me also commend the efforts of our personnel involved in this operation for a job well done so far. It is our duty to protect the citizenry and critical assets as well as bring succour to the despaired as we discharge our constitutional responsibilities to the state.
Olayanju and Adebunmi gave a cash rewards to Vigilante Group members, said the donation was given as an incentive for hard working.

They both urged the officers and the local Vigilante group to continue to display the values of selflessness, bravery and dedication in the conduct of their respective duties.
While commending the governor for supporting police operations in state, the lawmakers praised governor Seyi Makinde for his timely response and proactive on the security matter of Oke Oogun and oyo state at large.
With the lawmakers for the visitation are : the three caretaker chairmen in Orelope/Irepo/Olorunsogo federal constituency, Hon. Ayantunde Ayandeyi Olorunsogo local government, Hon. Abdulateef Adeniran Santana Irepo local government and Hon. Ganiy Tasoolo Orelope local government with their party chairmen.
