Politics according to David Easton has been described as the authoritative allocation of value, the value of life, healthcare, education, infrastructure, freedom and family is determined by politics in a democracy. Politics precedes governance as the quality of representative leaders is determined by what political parties offer.

The race to 2023 has since begun and different camps/candidates have shown interest in representing the people and in Oyo South Senatorial District, Ibadan born technocrat and politician Ayodeji Ismail Karim has taken everyone in awe with his level of acceptance after a successful tour of the 9 Local Government Area that makes up the district. Gladiators and Party stalwarts have since realized the quality of the top tier technocrat and former MD Costain West Africa who became the youngest CEO in Nigeria Stock Exchange at a time.

Endorsement from camps to do the quality representation that Oyo South as a pace setter district deserves hasn’t stopped from the last minute he purchased his form till this last day to the Party primaries.

Looking into Ayo Karim’s records and why he has become a household name, the 51year old elite was born into the family of Alhaji Dauda Adebayo Karim of Ile Jagun Aiko compound in Opo Labiran area of Ibadan in Ibadan North East Local Government, He had his primary education at St George’s Boys School, Lagos, and Sa’ad Zunguru Primary School, Bauchi state. He had his secondary education at Metropolitan College, Lagos, before proceeding to South Thames College, London where he obtained a National Diploma in Electro/Mechanical Sciences. He also holds a degree in Materials Engineering and Engineering Design/ Manufacturing from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK. Having worked as a professional for many years and became a CEO, he ventured into politics and was a top contender for APC Gubernatorial ticket in 2019.

Ayodeji a die-hard progressive politician is set to slug out the Oyo South APC primaries with others tomorrow, will he get it this time?
