An Oyo state-based socio-political group, Apero Mekunu Movement has felicitated the Muslim faithful in the state on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan
The group urged Muslims to use the holy month to pray for peace in Nigeria and Oyo State in particular, adding that the Ramadan period should be used to exhibit the best virtues that Islam teaches.
Apero Mekunu, in a statement signed by the movement coordinator, Mr. Akeem Salawu enjoined Muslims, as well as adherents of other religions, to continue to live in love, harmony, and peaceful coexistence in this month of Ramadan and beyond.
” Ramadan Mubarak from all of us at the Apero Mekunu Movement to our Muslim brothers and sisters in Oyo state.
” As we enter this sacred month of fasting, reflection, and devotion, we pray that Allah grants the Muslim faithful the strength and patience to observe it faithfully.
” May this period bring all peace, renewed hope, and abundant blessings. May it also inspire unity, compassion, and a shared commitment to building a just and prosperous society for all.
“ We urge all Muslims and adherents of other religions to avail themselves of the opportunity of the Ramadan fasting period to dedicate themselves to the good of humanity, peace and development of our dear state and country. Ramadan Kareem”, the Apero Mekunu Movement’s statement added
