Anniversary: Ibadan Northeast Chair, Akintayo Congratulates Makinde, Seeks Continuous Support For Gov
The executive chairman of Ibadan Northeast local government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo has extended his best wishes to Seyi Makinde on the completion of his fifth year and first year in office as governor of Oyo state.
Akintayo’s good wishes were contained in a statement issued to journalists in Ibadan on Tuesday, he urged the people of Oyo state to continue supporting Makinde for unstoppable developmental projects.
Akintayo described Makinde’s fifth year
as a positive development and a demonstration of the collective wishes of the Oyo state people for the entrenchment of democracy in the state
The council chairman said, as the governor marked his one year in office in his second term, today, he is convinced that Oyo state residents would continue to witness a higher level of development and prosperity till the end of Governor Makinde’s administration.
According to Akintayo, he said: Governor Seyi Makinde has been able to pull the state back from the precipice that it was almost falling in 2019, he made the promises and kept fulfilling them.
“Today, in the areas of healthcare, economy, education, infrastructural development, workers and pensioners welfare, the state had already and certainly left where it was five years ago and heading to where it is supposed to be.
“ Governor Seyi has proved to the doubting Thomases that he is actually the man for the job,” Akintayo said.
Akintayo also acknowledged the unrelenting effort of the governor towards the grassroots development in Ibadan Northeast local government. He said, his people will continue to appreciate and support the governor’s administration
