Alleluyah, Loyalists Politically Desperate – Oke-Ogun PDP Ex-Chairmen
The Forum of Ex-Local Government Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Ex-Local Party Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oke-Ogun Zone, Oyo State, has reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde and the ruling party, describing his leadership as visionary, inclusive, and transformative.

Rising from a meeting held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Local Government Secretariat in Saki, the Forum said it remains fully committed to the ideals of the Omituntun administration and pledged to continue supporting the governor’s developmental agenda across the state.
In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the Forum condemned what it described as the “opportunistic and self-serving defection” of some former political officeholders, led by former Senator Hosea Agboola (popularly known as Alleluyah), to an as-yet-unknown political destination. It said the move does not reflect the collective will of PDP members in Oke-Ogun but represents “sheer desperation and inconsistency” by a few individuals driven by personal ambition rather than ideology.
The Forum accused the defectors of attempting to undermine Governor Makinde’s administration, despite having previously benefitted from his political goodwill. It urged members of the public and PDP supporters across Oyo State to disregard the defectors’ activities, describing their recent gatherings in Saki and Ogbooro as mere attempts to attract political attention and relevance.
While reiterating its confidence in the governor’s leadership, the Forum praised Makinde for his numerous achievements in Oke-Ogun, noting that his administration has brought unprecedented development to the region. It cited key milestones such as the upgrade of The Polytechnic, Saki to an HND-awarding institution, the establishment of the LAUTECH Campus in Iseyin, relocation of OYSADEP headquarters to Saki, and the construction of major road networks including the Saki–Ogbooro–Igboho and Iseyin–Saki roads.

According to the communiqué, the region has also benefitted from significant employment opportunities, political appointments, and infrastructure projects, alongside the governor’s symbolic relocation of the state’s seat of government to Saki for several years consecutively, an initiative the Forum described as a mark of fairness and inclusivity.
The Forum emphasized that the majority of PDP stakeholders in Oke-Ogun remain firmly within the party and aligned with Governor Makinde’s political philosophy. It vowed to strengthen internal unity, sustain grassroots mobilization, and consolidate the party’s presence across all local government areas in the zone ahead of future political engagements.

Reaffirming its total allegiance to the PDP and the administration of Governor Makinde, the Forum pledged continued commitment to transparency, good governance, and democratic integrity, urging all well-meaning citizens of Oke-Ogun and Oyo State to remain steadfast in their support for the governor’s vision of a more prosperous and equitable state.
The communiqué was signed by members of the Forum of Ex-Local Government Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Ex-Local Party Chairmen of the PDP in Oke-Ogun Zone.
